Being Mean

Thinking back to my childhood i remember a time when me and my brother were mean to kids that didn't deserve it. When I was younger, me and my brother used to bully this kid at our bus stop. One time we pushed him into a cactus because he tried to talk to us. He cried all day and had to get the needles out of his pants. The kid told his parents and my grandma found out and we got in trouble so we decided to do it again the next day for him snitching on us. He told his parents but we didn't get in trouble again. His parents just drove him to school everyday from that day on. There was a number of times me and my brother were mean to other kids but I think this one is funny. I believe that Doodle's brother and even me do mean things to people that don't deserve it because it is funny. Maybe not Doodle's brother but that's the reason I do it. I had a pretty good childhood, picked on alot of kids, got picked on, but I'm glad it happened because I might not be the same today if it hadn't.

The Alchemist

Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" is a novel about a shepards journey to achieve his personal legend. The shepard was a boy by the name of Santiago.Along his way he meets a king and the king tells him about his personal legend and how to succeed in achieving it. Santiago goes to the desert because his treasure is waiting for him at the pyramids. On his journey he meets a girl name Fatima and he falls in love with her. He tells her that he needs to achieve his personal legend but tells her that he wants to marry her. She agrees and tells him she will wait. Santiago meets the alchemist along the way and the alchemist teaches him how to communicate with nature in order turn himself into the wind and how to be a true alchemist. Santiago becomes a great alchemist and communicates with the wind, sun, the desert,and with god in order to find his treasure. He eventually finds his treasure in the church where it all began and is now going to go back to the desert to marry Fatima. This book is pretty good.I liked the story because he eventually gets his treasure and it was gold and not just his knowledge of becoming an alchemist so he got the best of both. I would recommend it to people that actually enjoy reading. I don't even like reading and i think the book is a pretty good read so I would recommend it.

Blogging about whatever.

Today I'm blogging about being in school. I wish I wasn't here doing this. I could be skating right now or sleeping. I hate being in school, I dont feel that I'm learning anything here. School is just a waste of time to me. I could be spending my time out having fun. Instead I have to blog about my thoughts and I'm doubting that this is even going to be read. I don't like blogging, even though this is the easiest one we've had i still wish that i could be sleeping right now. Since I have to be here I'm just going to do this to get it over with. School is so boring, today i haven't learned anything. If i did learn anything new today, I already forget how to do it. If I didn't have to be here i would have dropped out freshmen year. I'm not sure that this is 200 words long and this blog sucks but I'm just going to stop writing and publish this. Okay so I published this already and I checked how many words it was and it was 172 so Im back just putting a few more words to get to 200. I'm pretty sure this is enough now so I'm going to publish this (again). If you took the time to read this I'm sorry I wasted your time.

Privacy

I believe it is never okay for a parent to invade someones privacy even if it's their own kid. It is not okay because when they were children they would not have wanted for their parents to snoop. The parent should not invade privacy because if their kid wants to make a mistake they should have the right too. All a parent should do is hope that they did a good job on raising their kid but if not it is not up to them to snoop and try to control their kids life. Parents did not want their parents invading their privacy when they were kids and they should understand not to invade their own kids or anyone elses kids privacy.Also it is still wrong for a friend to invade another friends privacy too. They should give the friend advice if something is wrong but it is up to that person whether they listen or not. Invading privacy is worng and should not be done by anyone.

Blogging is Torture.

The forms of exucution used in Shakespeares times consisted of a number of things. Things like the rack, used to stretch a person. Also a device called the scolds bridal which was an iron cast for your wifes head that had a spike that went into the mouth to keep her from talking back. Hangings were very popular and ducking stools were used to dip "witches" in to a cold lake until they drowned or confessed. If the witch confessed she was burned at the stake. These forms of tourture and exucution do not justify the crimes committed. If anything they just made people more angry and more likely to be violent.

Home Sweet Home

My neighborhood is a middle class town. It is a good neighborhood and very safe. I believe it is not worth fighting for because I haven't lived here a while. I've moved all around New Jersey, so I can't honestly say I would fight for any where around here. I don't believe I owe it to anyone to fix my neighborhood, it is pretty safe. If anything it would probably help if I wasn't there because I'm ususally the one causing havoc. I like the neighborhood i live in but i don't believe it is worth fighting for.

Odysseus' Leadership: Good or Bad?

I believe Odysseus is a good leader. Without Odysseus, his men would have died a while ago on their journey. For instance, without Odysseus' help his men would have all been eaten and killed by the cyclops. Odysseus is the one that helped them win the Trojan war and also saved his men a number a times. Of course he made a few mistakes by not being completely honest to his men but he is the leader and his men should have just listened to what he said. If they would have they would have all made it home alive and safe. Odysseus' men sealed there own fate by not listening to him. He specifically told his men not to kill Helios's cattle and what did they do? They ended up killing the cattle. Moments after, the storm went away and they were able to sail away. If Odysseus' men could have waited a little longer they might have been able to live to tell about the journey home and also could have been able to help Odysseus with his troubles at home. In my opinion Odysseus was a great leader because he was a warrior and intelligent. His men sealed there own fate by not following directions.
